Early Friday, August 15, Troopers from SP New Scotland arrested Andrew W. Miravalle, 29, of Guilderland for DWI and drug possession. Troopers found Miravalle on Frenchs Mill Road in Guilderland shortly after he crashed his motorcycle in a ditch.
Troopers say he had poor coordination and an odor of alcohol. Police gave him Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and he was arrested for DWI. When searching Miravalle, they also found him carrying a small amount of marijuana and pills – later determined to be a controlled substance in which he did not have a prescription for.
Miravalle was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (7th Degree, Misdemeanor), and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation). He is due to appear in the Town of Guilderland Court on August 21.
