Albany mayor marks 100 days in office

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan is marking her first 100 days in office, by celebrating $99 million dollars worth of economic projects that are underway.

Sheehan is also touting efforts to get a handle on city finances. She says she inherited a 16 million dollar budget gap.

She was able to convince the State Financial Review Board to provide up to $5 million dollars in aid but was not able to persuade the Cuomo Administration to make an $11 million dollar payment-in-lieu-taxes for the Harriman Office Campus. Sheehan says that would've gone a long way toward getting the city out of the hole.

Sheehan adds the city is seeing a boost in its economy projects underway and the new downtown convention center, which will be built next year.
