Mini Mart Robbed at Gunpoint

A man covering his face with a multi-colored scarf and armed with a long-barrel black revolver stormed into the Sunoco A+ Mini Mart on Exchange Street early Tuesday morning and robbed the place, according to Colonie Police.

It happened at 2:52 a.m. and the clerk gave the man the money from the register – less than $100 – and he took off on foot and may have gotten into a vehicle last seen headed west on Exchange Street, police said.

No shots fired and the clerk, who was the only one in the store at the time, was not injured.

The Albany Police Department was notified about this robbery as it appears to be the same suspect as a robbery they are investigating that occurred on Monday.
Suspect description: White Male, 6’0”, 215 pounds, grey-hooded sweatshirt with a gold zipper and a multi-colored scarf covering his face.

Anyone having information about this robbery is asked to contact the Colonie Police Department at 783-2744.
