Halfmoon Town Supervisor faces felony counts

Another political corruption criminal case - this one, in the Capital Region.

A 2-count indictment has been handed up against Halfmoon Town Supervisor Mindy Wormuth. Prosecutors say she accepted $7500 for using her position to lobby for legalizing mixed martial arts, and and lying to investigators.

The Town Board has been demanding her resignation since it was learned Wormuth was the subject of an investigation. She's refused.

Wormuth is not running for re-election and will be out of office at the end of the year.
