Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., members of the Troy Police Dept. Emergency Response Team raided 314 8th Street where they found 1.2 kilos of cocaine with a street value of about $120,000. They are calling it the biggest seizure of drugs in monetary terms in the history of the Troy police department.
The ERT raid was part of an on-going robbery investigation.
“Investigators seized a copious amount of crack and powder cocaine and a handgun has been removed from the streets of our city,” said Capt. John Cooney in a release.
Troy Police Special Operations Unit assisted in the search of the building where they also found a handgun and loaded magazine with .22 caliber rounds.

1.2 kilos of cocaine: 2 “pancakes” of processed crack cocaine, packaged for sale crack cocaine along with a substantial amount of pure powder cocaine. Street value of the drugs is at least $120,000.
